A Merry GBVO Christmas

December 23, 2007

And now, because you didn't ask for it, here is an original...

Action Man's "A Story of the Christmas Genre"

(London, December 25, 1843)
Here here!  Here here!  Here here, I say!  Here here!  Merry Christmas!  Let's have a nice toast to your health now, Mr. Scrooge.
You rave, Cratchit!  This is why I pay you so little.  It is 10 o'clock in the morning and you have yet to produce even a tad of work.  Now you are into he bottle and attempting to get me involved with the demon drink.  Cratchit!  I will not stand for this.
That's right, Mr. Scrooge.  I doubt that either of us will be standing for long.
Cratchit!  Get busy man!  I have pages and pages for you to copy before noon tea.
Sir?  I may be a small man, I am quite slight in stature that is, a bit short you know, but that in itself has not been much of a hindrance to me to this point in my life.  I will be leaving this office place soon to be at home on Christmas day with my very large family.  Belinda will sit on my diminutive lap, and poor little Tiny... It's really that simple.  We've thought of everything. It is totally automatic.

Just push a button and listen to music.  We've made it to the 21st century!

Cool, eh?

Spam Content takes on Dadaesque Qualities

November 30, 2006

Maybe all three of us could head for new careers composing Spam email for dubious marketing concerns. Soapy can focus on sheer absurdity, Weasel on seemingly pseudo-random rational arguments and Action Man on boneheaded non sequiturs. Holy smokes! What a team us guys would make!

For your reference, here's the entire content of the spam I received this morning:

From: Pen <tqd@open4golf.com>
To:

Subject: granular French toast
Date: Thu, 30 Nov 2006 16:41:42 +0200 (09:41 EST)

all the way to Germany, where Kit goes to study vector theory in mathematics and falls .
keeps you interested better than reading it out of the book or something

Notice how insidiously effective this piece of sales work is at convincing the pathetic reader that something is seriously lacking in life. It really makes me want to go out and buy something.

... or something

Did I???

November 19, 2006

Did I mention that this blog documents the adventures and music of GBVO, the Greater Boston Visionary Outpost, one of the most versatile, lithe and competent musical ensembles of the greater Boston, Massachusetts metro area?  Maybe even the entire continent north of the Mason-Dixon line.  Certainly everything east of the Mississippi.

Did I?

Did I what???
